This Privacy Policy explains how Invoice Maker ("we", "us", or "the App") handles information when you use our application and related services. We are committed to protecting your privacy and only collecting what is necessary to provide and improve the App. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

We aim to collect as little personal information as possible. Depending on how you use the App, this may include:

Information you provide: content you enter or upload into the App, such as profile details, business information, contacts, documents, images, or other content you choose to create or store.
Device and usage data: basic technical information such as device type, operating system version, app version, language settings, and anonymous diagnostics or crash reports used to keep the App working properly.
Optional permissions: if you choose to use certain features, the App may request access to your camera, photo library, contacts, or storage. These are only used to provide the related feature and only with your permission.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use information only for legitimate purposes, including to:

provide, operate, and maintain the App and its features;
save and display the content you create;
respond to your support requests and communicate with you about the App;
diagnose problems, improve performance, and develop new features;
comply with applicable legal obligations.

3. Storage of Your Data

Where possible, your content is stored locally on your device. Some features may require sending data to a server or trusted service provider (for example, to send a document by email or process a purchase). We only transmit the data needed to perform the action you requested.

4. Third-Party Services

The App may rely on reputable third-party services for functions such as analytics, crash reporting, payments, subscriptions, or message and document delivery. These providers process data only as needed to perform their service and are expected to maintain appropriate safeguards. We do not sell your personal information.

We do not share your personal information with third parties except: (a) with service providers acting on our behalf; (b) when you direct us to (for example, sending a document to a recipient you choose); (c) to comply with the law or a valid legal request; or (d) to protect our rights, safety, or property and that of our users.

6. Data Retention

We keep information only for as long as needed to provide the App or as required by law. Content stored on your device remains until you delete it or uninstall the App. You may request deletion of any personal data we hold by contacting us.

7. Data and Account Deletion

The App does not require you to create an account or log in. The business name and other details you enter are used only to label and produce your documents, and are stored locally on your device.

You can delete your data at any time:

Delete content in the App: remove individual invoices, estimates, clients, or your business profile directly within the App.
Delete all local data: uninstalling the App permanently removes all content stored on your device.
Request deletion of any data we hold: if you would like us to delete any personal data associated with you (including any data processed by our service providers), email us at contactus@caractiv.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". We will verify and process your request within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain data by law.

Please note: cancelling a subscription does not delete your data, and deleting your data does not cancel a subscription. You can manage or cancel subscriptions at any time in your device's App Store account settings.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

10. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can manage app permissions in your device settings at any time. To exercise any right, contact us using the details below.

11. International Users

If you use the App from outside the country where our servers or providers are located, your information may be transferred to and processed in other jurisdictions. By using the App, you consent to such transfers.

12. Third-Party Links

The App may contain links to third-party websites or services that we do not control. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those services, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.
